La paròdia es basa en el tòpic de la monstruositat: una parella de monstre volen tenir un fill perquè sigui més monstruós que ells. Però el pla fracassarà, ja que, de tan dolent que serà, el fill monstre travessarà la línia del mal per instal·lar-se en el bé. Si l’intent de jugar amb els tòpics pot donar resultats frescos i innovadors, aquí l’autor no acaba d’aconseguir-ho, potser perquè el contrast del monstre fent de bo, encara que el vulgui maquillar amb gràcia, ja està molt utilitzat.
