No s’explica com sap l’Oriol el nom d’en Tururut, la qual cosa ens pot fer pensar que, en el fons, es tracta d’un amic imaginari. Sigui com sigui, el text hauria d’expressar l’emoció de com neix la relació i de si continuarà, i això no s’hi troba. Tan sols s’hi van juxtaposant els inconvenients domèstics i quotidians que en Tururut provoca, fins que, sobtadament, es converteix en un heroi, just abans de desaparèixer de la vida de l’Oriol tan inesperadament com hi ha arribat. Les il·lustracions, simplistes i un xic descurades, semblen mantenir aquesta línia d’acostar-se als més petits, imitant el seu propi estil. Potser els infants de cinc o sis anys hi connectaran, perquè és el conte que ells escriurien i els dibuixos que ells farien, però s’hi troba a faltar un cert grau d’exigència en l’elaboració.
