Dona gust veure que el missatge animalista no obnubila l\u2019autor, que escriu treballant b\u00e9 les situacions i els temes. Espl\u00e8ndides il\u00b7lustracions en llapis en blanc i negre, molt adients per a una novel\u00b7la polic\u00edaca, que recullen influ\u00e8ncies de pintors o dibuixants que han treballat b\u00e9 llum i foscor, com Hammershoi. Tamb\u00e9 cal destacar la tasca del traductor, que aconsegueix uns di\u00e0legs fluids, en un registre col\u00b7loquial encertat. Especial m\u00e8rit tenen els jocs de paraules, que no coneixem en l\u2019original, per\u00f2 que s\u00f3n francament reeixits.
