Durant els \u00faltims cinc anys IBBY ha estat donant suport a dues biblioteques per a infants i joves a Gaza a trav\u00e9s IBBY Children in Crisis Fundation.<\/p>\n
L\u2019IBBY i totes les seves seccions, creiem que els llibres poden construir ponts d’entesa i la pau entre les persones. Els companys de Gaza s\u00f3n els nostres amics i col\u00b7legues, gent com nosaltres que ens agrada, que creiem que a trav\u00e9s dels bons llibres i la lectura podem canviar el nostre futur i contribuir a la comprensi\u00f3 entre les persones.<\/p>\n
Conforme passa el temps la situaci\u00f3 a Gaza i en la vida dels infants i de les seves fam\u00edlies s’agreuja – estan atrapats. Aquesta guerra abominable s\u2019ha d’aturar!<\/p>\n

IBBY Libraries in Gaza\/ Israeli Aggression<\/strong><\/p>\n Dear friends<\/strong><\/p>\n The two IBBY library areas that are border areas (Rafah and Beit Hanoun) have been heavily bombarded by Israeli military, thousands of Palestinians living there have been displaced. The two areas are now military zones after the Israeli land invasion. PBBY received this message from the librarian in Beit Hanoun, Abla Hassan, about the situation there before she was displaced two days. (It is getting worse):<\/strong><\/p>\n The al-Ata\u2019 community based centre that hosts the library has been targeted and very badly damaged. The children court yard has been destroyed as well as books, computers, windows and walls. As to houses of the children who use the library, three houses have been completely destroyed and thirty houses partially destroyed. The number of children or their family members killed is not known yet.<\/strong><\/p>\n No known news about the library in al-Shawka \u2013 Rafah.
